FAQs

Q About Program MIGHTY MITES (3-5 YEAR OLDS)

Our Mighty Mite class is designed to be fun, dynamic, and a great challenge for students 3-5 years old. This program is an excellent way to jump start your child's development both athletically and socially.

Using physical activity and martial arts training, your child will develop self-control, coordination, focus, athleticism, and group discipline in a fun, encouraging environment.

Q About Program CHILDREN AND FAMILIES 6 Years and Up

Our main program is for ages 6 and up and is perfectly geared towards children and families. As you or your child progress through the ranks, you'll learn traditional karate, self defense work, body wellness, and sport karate.

Life skills are a big part of our program as well. In order to achieve an Adamson's Karate black belt, all students must showcase not only physical skill, but dedication to personal achievement at home as well. We will help you and your child develop discipline, confidence, focus, and a good understanding of life long healthy practice.

With additional classes in weaponry, self defense seminars, and a week long summer camp, there are always fun things to do and new things to explore.

Q About Program TEENS AND ADULTS (Traditional Karate and Self Defense)

Teens and adults are faced with a lot of challenges today. Many men and women are looking for a great way to work out and keep their minds sharp. Traditional karate offers a great outlet for physical training no matter what your age.

Our program will train you to be aware of your surroundings and prepared for situations that are more common for adults and teens. Some of the topics we cover include multi-attacker self defense, club and knife training, grappling techniques, and more.

Q History of Martial Arts

Taekwondo, a Korean martial art, was also introduced to the United States in the mid-20th century. The art was brought over by Hwang Kee, who founded the Moo Duk Kwan school of taekwondo. Taekwondo gained widespread popularity in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s, and is now one of the most popular martial arts in the country.

Q Benefits of Martial Arts

Martial arts can also promote self-confidence and self-esteem. As students progress and achieve new goals, they gain a sense of accomplishment and pride in their abilities. This can translate into other areas of life, such as school and work, and help individuals feel more confident in their abilities.
