Illinois Practical Karate is the ONLY practical karate dojo in Southern Illinois, providing training in karate as it was really meant to be–an effective fighting art for self-defense, law enforcement, and security personnel, rather than just an after-school program for kids–while also incorporating and considering modern advancements in technology and training methods.
Chief Instructor is Master Noah Legel
Noah Legel is a World Combat Association instructor and International Neoclassical Karate Kobudo Society co-founder, who holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Neoclassical Karate, a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate, and is one of only a handful of people authorized to teach the rare Okinawan martial art of KishimotoDi outside of Japan. He has experience competing in karate, Judo, and MMA, as well as preparing students for competition, and much of his training has focused heavily on developing practical skills for self-defense, as well as combat sports.
