FAQs

Q What sets you apart from other training facilities?

Martial Arts is the foundation for everything that we do at OAC. Whether you're looking for a killer workout, need some serious stress relief, want to lose weight, are interested in learning self-defense techniques, or are getting ready for your next fight- we've got you covered! Outside of all that, our culture really sets us apart. We believe it's important to leave your ego at the door, work hard, and have fun!

Q I've never boxed before. Will I be able to join in to any class?

YES! We welcome all-levels to join us. We usually recommend trying one of our weekend classes first, before jumping into any of the classes during the week. Saturday is a cardio-based class with some focus on technique and abs. Sunday we'll slow things down a bit, making sure to go over the fundamentals and get you ready to show what you’re made of!

Q I'm out of shape. Am I going to be able to keep up in class?

That's what we're here for! There's no sense trying to "get in shape" before you sign up. Just get started! All that we ask is that you try your best, and you keep moving! With time, your strength and endurance will increase, and things will get easier. Yes, it will be challenging, but most of the best things in life come with hard work!

Q I don't want to get punched or kicked. Will there be sparring in class?

No. Our Boxing, & Muay Thai classes are very safe, and will not involve any sort of sparring. For those who are interested and ready for full contact sparring, we have designated times available.

Q Am I going to be the only woman in class?

Not likely. That said, if you did happen to be the only woman in class, we assure you that you'll find your peers to be friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
