Q Things included in Kids Program

In our kids program, children will learn a variety of traditional martial arts techniques including punches, kicks, and self-defense moves. Our classes also incorporate physical conditioning exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Q Things included in Teens/Adults Program

Philosophy and Ethics: Many martial arts styles have a strong philosophical or ethical component, teaching students principles such as discipline, respect, and self-control. This portion of the program may include discussions or lessons on these concepts, as well as meditation or other mental training exercises.

Q History of Martial Arts

Another martial art that has a long history in the United States is karate, which was introduced to the country by Gichin Funakoshi, a Japanese master who founded the Shotokan school of karate. Karate became popular in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s, thanks in part to the influence of Bruce Lee, who popularized the martial art through his films and teachings.
