At San Elijo Martial Arts in San Marcos, we believe Martial Arts is for everybody. We teach students ranging from 3 years old to students in their 60’s. Master Karl Courage is a 5th Degree Black Belt, and Certified Master Instructor. He has 27 years of practicing and teaching Tang Soo Do Karate in the North County area (San Diego, California). He is founder and owner of San Elijo Martial Arts & Fitness.

Our Story
Owner Master Karl Courage has been teaching in North County for over 20 years. Originally from Ireland, he spent many years working in 'corporate America' before opening his first studio in 1999 and pursuing his passion teaching children and adults the art of Tang Soo Do Karate.
