For over 20 years, Tiger-Rock Martial Arts has taught martial arts, life skills, and self-defense lessons to students of all ages. Through the Martial Art of taekwondo, Tiger-Rock has instilled values of discipline, respect, and honor to every student that has trained on our mat.
Our Tiger-Cubs program is for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten kids. This program is designed to help 4- and 5-year-old students with their cognitive and physical development. Our Juniors Program for elementary school kids ages 6 to 11 teaches discipline, respect for authority, anti-bullying, and stranger awareness. Our Teens Program is for middle school and high school students ages 12 to 15 for leadership training, self-defense, and building towards the future.
We offer adult martial arts on select evenings throughout the week at Tiger-Rock in North Austin. We’re the ultimate after-work or after-practice destination and we’re the perfect complement to any training regimen or athletic activity you participate in.
Master Martin Aherne serves as the head instructor at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of North Austin. Mr. Aherne has been training in taekwondo for over 25 years. He brings an incredible wealth of experience and dedication to the Tiger-Rock mat.

We offer martial arts classes for children, teens, and adults of all skill levels. Our programs are designed to provide age-appropriate training that focuses on discipline, fitness, and self-defense.
No prior experience is required! Whether you're a beginner or have martial arts experience, our instructors will tailor the training to your skill level.
For your first class, we recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing. If you decide to continue, you’ll have the option to purchase a Tiger-Rock uniform.
