United Studios of Self Defense (USSD) Burlingame has been proudly serving the Burlingame community since 2008, offering dynamic and inclusive martial arts programs for students of all ages. At USSD, the focus goes beyond just physical training — the studio emphasizes core values like effort, etiquette, self-control, sincerity, and character development, helping every student grow into a stronger, healthier, and more confident individual. With programs tailored to children (such as Tiny Tigers and Young Dragons), teens, and adults, USSD provides a supportive environment where personal growth and self-discipline are celebrated.
Leading the Burlingame studio is Greg Shraiman, the Head Instructor since 2014, supported by Assistant Instructor Diya Mittal. Together, they bring passion, expertise, and a commitment to helping every student reach their potential. Under their guidance, students not only learn effective self-defense techniques but also cultivate resilience, focus, and confidence that carry into everyday life.
Whether you’re just beginning your martial arts journey or seeking to deepen your practice, USSD Burlingame offers an uplifting community and high-quality instruction that supports your goals. With free introductory lessons available and a philosophy rooted in perseverance — “the glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time you fall” — USSD invites you to join and discover your best self through the life-long benefits of martial arts.
