Yama Arashi Ryu Claimed

More Than Martial Arts — A Way of Life.

Yama Arashi Ryu is a diverse and dedicated martial arts community rooted in the traditional teachings of Jujitsu, Tai Chi, Judo, and Karate. Our instructors bring a wealth of knowledge, averaging over 30 years of teaching experience — with senior teachers exceeding 45 years. They come from all walks of life, including law enforcement, business, trades, and professional sectors, creating a welcoming environment where every student can find mentorship that resonates. Our training emphasizes self-confidence, discipline, and practical self-defense, taught through the study of kata — structured movements that develop technique, awareness, and inner strength.

We proudly carry forward the legacy of esteemed martial arts masters such as Professor Matsuyama, Ueshiba O Sensei, Mr. Ting Yang, Mifune Sensei, Nagai Sensei, Shihan Goody, and Sifu Gene Chen. Staying true to our values, we operate with no contracts and low monthly fees, thanks to our volunteer-based instruction model. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced martial artist, you’re invited to drop in for a free class and experience the spirit of traditional martial arts in a modern, supportive setting.
